Questions about rank tracking

How often are rankings checked?

Once a day for every tracked keyword, at about the same time each day. You can also check a keyword right away; that draws from a monthly allowance.

Which countries and cities can I track?

65 countries are in the list, with the languages Google serves there. Search for any city or region of a country to track it there instead. Each combination of keyword, location and device counts as one tracked keyword.

How many keywords can I track?

Pro tracks up to 100 keywords and Agency up to 300. On the free plan you can check 3 keywords a month, one a day, to see how it works.

How is visibility calculated?

Each position is weighted by the share of clicks a result usually gets there, from about 28 percent at position 1 down to almost nothing on page three. 100 means every keyword ranks first. It is an estimate that makes progress comparable across keywords.

Does it track AI overviews?

Yes. Every check records whether Google shows an AI overview and, when its sources load, whether your site is one of them. Featured snippets, People also ask, local packs, videos and other features are recorded too.

Where do the rankings come from?

From Google's live result pages for the location, language and device you choose, read by a SERP data provider without personalisation. Your own browser results can differ because Google personalises them.
