Website health monitoring

Most technical problems arrive with a deploy, a plugin update or a CDN change. A monitor re-audits your site on a schedule and tells you the day something breaks, not the month your traffic drops.

Create a monitor

The first audit starts right away and sends a baseline to your alert channel.

Usually the home page or your most important template.

Alerts

Slack and Discord incoming webhooks get a readable message. Any other https url gets a JSON event.

Free plan: up to 3 monitors, weekly, quick audits.

Why monitor your site

Audits on a schedule

Weekly on the free plan, daily on Pro. Each run is the same audit, so changes are real changes.

Alerts that matter

A score drop beyond your threshold, a critical or high check that starts failing, the site going unreachable, and its recovery.

History and trends

Every run keeps its scores and the checks that moved, so a regression points at the release that caused it.

Slack, Discord, webhooks, email

Chat webhooks get a readable message, any other endpoint a documented JSON event.

Questions about monitoring

Is website monitoring free?

Yes. The free plan monitors up to 3 sites once a week with quick audits. Pro monitors up to 50 sites daily or weekly, with standard audits that sample up to 25 pages.

Do I need an account?

No. When you create a monitor you get a manage link. It is saved in this browser and shown once. Keep it: it is how you change or delete the monitor without a Pro key. With a Pro key, every monitor created with it is listed in the dashboard on any device.

When does a monitor send an alert?

When the score drops by at least your threshold since the previous run, when a critical or high check starts failing, when the site cannot be audited (once, not on every failed run) and when it recovers. The first run sends a baseline so you know the channel works.

How do Slack and Discord alerts work?

Create an incoming webhook in Slack or Discord and paste its url. Aback Audit recognises both and sends a readable message. Any other https url receives a JSON event that you can route anywhere.

Is this uptime monitoring?

No. Uptime monitors check every minute whether a site answers. This monitor checks on a schedule whether the site is still crawlable, indexable, fast, accessible and secure, and also tells you when it cannot be reached.

Will monitoring put load on my site?

A quick audit makes a few dozen requests, once a week or once a day. It counts against the same per site limit as every other audit, which protects the site.

Can I put the score on my site or README?

Yes. Every monitor has an SVG badge that shows its latest score. The monitor page gives you the Markdown and HTML to copy.
